Setting up for your sessions

On coaching calls we will be speaking face to face - but you might want to be somewhere that you can talk freely and are not going to be disturbed.

For hypnosis sessions, I need to be able to see your lovely face. That’s because I closely observe you to make sure that you are OK. Your subconscious mind also communicates a lot using your face, so I’ll be looking out for those messages too.

Ideally, you will be sat up (if you lay down there’s the possibility that you’ll fall asleep!) and facing the camera. Some people want to sit on their bed and that’s OK as long as you have something solid that you can rest your computer or tablet on at the side and in front of you so that I can see your face.

Types of device to use

It’s best to use a computer or tablet with a camera, as they are larger and easier to set up than a small phone.

Power

Video calling is battery intensive – so I’d recommend having your device plugged into the mains even if it’s fully charged to start with. Also having your device plugged in can mean that you have a stronger internet connection.

Headphones

Hypnosis is all about being deeply relaxed, and when we relax we often become very quiet which might make it hard for me to hear you speak.

I need to be able to hear you so that I can ask questions that will guide you to have the best experience possible.  Ideally please wear headphones with a microphone that you can comfortably connect to your device. If you are using Bluetooth headphones, please consider how much battery life they have – even if they are fully charged some sessions can be over 2 hours.
